Join us in our mission to improve health standards in estate and urban areas. Through collaboration, innovation, and dedication, we are making a difference one step at a time.

Our Story

Bridging the Gap in Health Equity

The Estate & Urban Health Unit is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable estate and urban under-settlement populations in Sri Lanka. Established in 1997 under the Ministry of Health, we focus on bridging health disparities through targeted interventions, collaborative partnerships, and equitable service delivery. Our mission is to ensure that these communities have access to quality healthcare, fostering a healthier, more productive, and empowered population.

Our Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals

At the Estate and Urban Health Unit, we align our mission with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to enhance health and well-being in estate and urban communities. By addressing key challenges such as poverty, inequality, access to healthcare, clean water, and sanitation, we are committed to improving the quality of life for all. Through collaborative efforts, innovation, and community-focused initiatives, we ensure that every action contributes to achieving a sustainable and healthier future.
